Cooper Coughlan, Founder & Editor-in-Chief

Hello, my name is Cooper Coughlan, and I am The Paw's Founder and Editor-in-Chief. I am a sophomore at DJDS, and this is my second year on staff at The Paw. For those who don't know, The Paw had existed many many years before, but during COVID-19 it shut down, never to return until now. I made it my mission to bring back The Paw and have been successfully serving DJDS students high-quality journalism since 2023. I  have a strong passion for journalism and believe that our school newspaper plays a vital role in informing and uniting our school body. I aim to inspire people to unleash their creative side, and I think journalism is a great outlet for that. As a journalist, I strive to present the most unbiased and digestible information to the student body. As an editor, I seek to bring out the best in my fellow journalists. Outside of The Paw, I love going to the gym, cooking, and hanging out with family. I believe that both journalism and education hold transformative power in our community, and I hope The Paw can stimulate that.
